So I found these two that fit what I was looking for and in the rough price guidelines I have when paired with a simple platinum setting and band. We have both been married before and she has never had a nice ring. I would love to blow her mind with a diamond that really dazzles brilliantly and get as close to 1ct as I can. I know she is afraid of wearing such an expensive ring but she doesn’t know that she’s worth it.

I like the optical symmetry of the 0.91 J VS1 from BN more than the 0.90 J VS1 from JA because the arrows are cleaner. However, the 0.9 J VS1 has better color and a bigger spread at 6.24mm (close to the diameter of a 1ct diamond). That’s a tough call.
I think the 0.9 J VVS1 below would have better color than the 0.91 J VS1 while maintaining the same optical symmetry.
If your budget can handle $4k, then the 0.9 I VS2 would go up a grade in color and have better optical symmetry than the 0.90 J VS1 while maintaining the same larger than average diameter (6.24mm).
And then I think the 0.9 D SI2 would be a better option than the 0.86 H SI1. You could set a prong at 1 o’clock to hide those crystals. The feather at 12 o’clock and the crystals at 8 o’clock would be off to the edge, so wouldn’t be as noticeable, so I think it’d be eye-clean. And then you jump all the way to an icy white D.
