Hello Joe – Hope you’re well. I’m researching various lab diamond options with D color and IF / VVS1 clarity ranging from 2 to 2.25 carats (apologies for the wide range here). I’ve checked the below in your Cut Estimator and they fall within the AGS Ideal / GIA Excellent areas. However, I wanted to request your second opinion on the below if a particular option stood out with regards to proportion, optical symmetry, and brilliance / sparkle?
Option 1 – Ritani
Option 2 – WhiteFlash
Option 3 – GemsNY
Option 4 – James Allen; Seems to be priced quite a bit higher versus the rest
Option 5 – Brilliant Earth
Apologies for the bother and thanks in advance for all your help. Looking forward to hearing from you!
They’re all nice. Option 3 and option 5 are the same diamond (same report number), so that eliminates option 5 based on price. Option 3 is less than option 2 for the same specs, so I’d eliminate option 2. And option 1 is cheaper than option 4, so I’d eliminate option 4.
So that leaves option 1 if you want IF and option 3 if you want VVS1. If you’re fine with VVS1, then you might also consider the options below – the 2.19 D VVS1 is a smidge less while the 2.4 D VVS1 is a bit bigger. You’ll get better value with lower clarity like VS1 though.
