I’d like some help selecting an Oval diamond from JA – (I’m also open to Blue Nile). My budget is up to $9,000 (with some wiggle room).
Shape: Oval
Color: H-D (Most of the J diamonds I’ve seen are too yellow)
Clarity: SI1+
Carat: 1+
Cut: Very Good
Setting: Yellow Gold
Here are a few that I’ve been looking at. It seems like anything with a surface area over 41mm^2 comes at a premium — usually over 10k. I’d love some thoughts about these and whether there may be some better options!

Of these two, I like the shape of the H more than the G. You might also consider the options below. The 1.06 D VS2 has the same length as the G and H, but is a bit narrower with a higher L/W ratio. It’s a little less in carats, but it goes up in color and saves money. The 1.22 D VS2 is about 0.2mm shorter than the G and H, but goes up in color for a little less than the G.
