Hey,
Trying to find a good value radiant or Asscher cut diamond. What do you think of the one below?

Asscher and radiant are very different styles. Here are better videos of both of your picks – the radiant is a bit less expensive at JA, while the Asscher is a bit more.

I think the Asscher is pretty good. I might prefer seeing more concentric dark squares, but that’s a nitpick and I think this Asscher looks good to go if you prefer Asscher over radiant.
VVS1 clarity is also wasted on radiants, which all have a crushed ice look that is much more forgiving of inclusions than step cuts like Asscher. This radiant has short pavilion main facets, so it will have more of a crushed ice look and a smaller spread than radiants with long pavilion main facets. You might consider the diamond below instead. It trades clarity for color and long pavilion main facets, resulting in slightly larger facets and a larger spread (7.11×5.55mm vs. 6.52×5.34mm of the H). It should be eye-clean.
Radiant,1.21,E,SI1,-,6920,https://www.diamondscreener.com/ja/loose-diamonds/radiant-cut/1.21-carat-e-color-si1-clarity-sku-14597832
Thank you so much for the detailed answer! I showed my wife and she is a bit concerned with SI1 and that she would be able to see the inclusions. I looked a bit more and found the link below. What do you think?
In real size terms, those inclusions are 0.16mm in size, the width of a human hair.
The 1.51 H VS2 is also a short pavilion mains radiant.
So we went and looked in person and she prefers the Asscher cut. I tried to buy the one listed above but it was already sold. What do you think about this one?

I think this 1.5 H VVS2 will show up dark. It doesn’t show much scintillation (alternating black and white facets) – it’s more just one dark square instead of thinner alternating concentric squares.
You might consider the ones below. I think they show better scintillation.
