Joe, Thanks for building such an amazing website. I’m searching for an Excellent cut, 1 Carat, VS1 or better. As far as clarity goes, I just want it to be white to the eye. My budget is <$7k and I’ve narrowed it down to these 3 selections:

They’re all along the efficiency frontier and within the cut estimate table for GIA & AGS ideal. Which one would you choose?
Hi Jeb,
I would go with the 1.00 D VS1. I think the 1.00 G VS1 is overgraded for color. If you compare it to the 1.00 G SI1 below, it will look more like an H than a G. And even though the 1.00 E VS1 is technically AGS 0 Ideal, I prefer table <= 60. Hence the 1.00 D VS1.
However, that maxes out your budget. So I think the 1.00 G SI1 below would be a good alternative to stay well below $7k. And the 1.01 E SI1 would also save a few hundred.
Best,
Joe
