Hey Joe,
I purchased this diamond below for $5,500
The inclusion on the top is visible to the naked eye when looking closely. I’m wondering if I should keep the diamond that I purchased already or try to find a similar diamond with an inclusion closer to one of the prongs. My budget is $6,500.
Hi Brandon,
If you’re like me, once you see it, you can’t unsee it. If it bothers you (and I think it does, otherwise you wouldn’t be posting), then I think you should keep looking.
$5500 for 1.1ct G SI1 was a good deal (albeit for one that’s not eye-clean). Here are the closest options I saw.
- The 1.02 F SI2 is just a bit less in price. It has a larger than average diameter at 6.54mm, only about 0.1mm less than your 1.1ct G SI1, so you’re not giving up much in size. I think it would be eye-clean. There’s a feather at 5 o’clock which is what’s making it SI2.
- The 1.11 D SI1 keeps you at 1.1ct and the crystals are white instead of black. They’ll be harder to see, but I can’t guarantee that it’ll be eye-clean since they’re about the same size as the ones in the 1.1 G SI1.
- The 1.05 G SI1 is unfortunately the most expensive. It also happens to have the smallest diameter, but I thought I’d include it as an option in case you didn’t like any of the others.
Joe
