Great site! I’m an engineer and love playing with data so the search tool and cut estimator are fantastic.
I’m looking for a ~1.7 carat round. Cut is my biggest priority, and I’m willing to go higher on budget if need be. After that I’m just looking for biggest bang for my buck, so I decided I’m fine with an I color since it’ll be set in yellow gold (but if I should be going up to H, let me know). VS2 (or even S1) is fine if it’s eye-clean.
Thinking about going with this one. It’s on the border of GIA Ex and inside AGS ideal and has those nice “8 arrows”:

Not sure if it’s just the picture, but it seems a bit “foggy” from the top view. Is that something I should be concerned about?

I agree that this 1.7 I VS2 doesn’t look quite as clear and sharp as it should. Whether that’s the material or the camera, I’m not sure, but in such cases I always err on the side of caution and assume it’s the diamond because these videos are supposed to show the diamonds at their best.
In that sense, I might prefer the 1.7 I VVS2 below for the same price. The 58/36/40.8 combo is just outside AGS 0 Ideal, but I think it looks sharper. I color is perfectly fine for yellow gold, no need to go up to H.

0.1mm is less than the width of a hair, so it is like splitting hairs…
The 1.71 I VS2 looks to have a slightly darker color tone compared to the other two I’s. Everything else checks out; I agree it’d be eye-clean. It’s also $700 cheaper, which helps.

That VVS2 looks good, my only concern is that the face size is a bit smaller (7.60×7.55 instead of 7.70×7.65). Not sure if that’s splitting hairs.

At 58/33.5/41 it’s right in the middle of GIA/AGS Ideal on your cut estimator. The clarity is not as high but it seems like it’d be eye clean. Any thoughts or concerns?
