G’day Just after a second opinion on which of these diamonds would be better. They are quite similar and I just cant work out if the extra money is worth is for the extra .05 of a ct or if the smaller one will look just the same. Thanks in advance 🙂

Ooh, a hearts and arrows cushion! These types of diamonds are much harder to find now that Blue Nile stopped selling them as signature cushions.
I think of these two, I prefer the 0.946 G. It will be more brilliant. It’s a bit odd though – all of Brian Gavin’s signature cushions have a L/W ratio > 1.1. I wonder if that’s to avoid the patent on the hearts and arrow cushion cut. Just something to be aware of, as it won’t be quite square.
It takes some hunting, but you can find some unbranded H&A cushions as well. For instance, the option below is perfectly square and would save you $1500-2000 compared to the options above.
