Hello. I just bought a diamond that is described as having “faint blue”. I now know that I have bought a diamond with the dreaded blue hue. My question is simple: do you think that this is acceptable or should I return it? It was quite a bargain. The seller did not explain about the blue nuance before purchase. Some people like the cooler blue hue, so it’s not “dreaded” if you don’t mind it. I would prefer a blue HPHT over a brown CVD, which are most of your options for 3.5ct in this price range. It’s up to you whether the color is worth the trade for the size at that price – otherwise, you’d have to trade something else to go up in color.
