Hello! I am looking for round or oval LAB diamond and the setting will have yellow gold band and white gold upper prongs and or halo if I choose oval.
What is the lowest color & clarity that you believe would work that would be eye clean overall? Budget for diamond is ~4-5k.
With yellow gold, the oval color distribution is fairly uniform, at least for natural diamonds. People tend to buy higher color lab diamonds to avoid any brown CVD or blue HPHT hues.
For clarity, most people buy VS2 for natural ovals. For lab diamonds, the overall most popular clarity is VS1, probably because HPHT diamonds tend to have black flux inclusions and CVD diamonds often have black graphitic clouds, so higher clarity helps eliminate both of these.
Fluorescence is not an issue because almost all lab diamonds do not exhibit fluorescence.
I think the options below would fit within your budget and avoid the color and clarity issues specific to lab diamonds.

Also I think fluorescence may be a factor also? What grade do you think is best for this too?
