Hi I was wondering what you think of this diamond (and all else other diamonds) that lie right on the border of your chart. Will you please review the dimensions and let me know your thoughts? The table is officially 55.5 but I set it for 55, Crown Angle is 36, and Pavilion Angle is 40.6.
On the HCA chart (if it helps), I get a score
Light Return: Excellent
Fire: Excellent
Scintillation: Very Good
Spread: Very Good
HCA Score : 1.5 – Excellent – within FIC range
Thanks.
Don’t think of it as borderline. Lab cut grades are categorical – they’re all members of the same category. This proportion combination typically has nice optical symmetry, better than the AGS 0 Ideals with higher pavilion angles. These proportions are nice.
As for the HCA, I don’t think it’s useful. Brief answer here: https://www.diamondscreener.com/questions/holloway-cut-advisor/
