Looking for diamonds in the 1.5-1.6 carat range. Not sure what the best value for color and clarity would be. I’ve bought diamonds/jewelry in the past from Blue Nile and would like to stick with them since I’m familiar with them unless there is better value elsewhere.
What’s your opinion of these diamonds?
These seem to be best values:

Of these I would pick between the LD18221635 (1.55 G VVS2) and LD18639597 (1.57 D VVS2). The latter four diamonds are all about the same price, in which case I would maxing out the color to D since VVS2 is more then enough clarity. So then it comes down to whether you think three color grades are worth a $6k price difference. I would say no and say the G is a better value, but that’s up to you since LD18221635 is the outlier of your picks in terms of budget.
Thank you Joe. Can I ask why the diamonds (LD18221635 and LD18639597) seem to be such a big price difference even though they fall on the cost-efficiency frontier line? Is color G and VVS2 good enough for the visual eye to not see color/flaws? Thanks again Joe you have made the buying process of diamonds so much easier.
