Hi – love your tool, been using it to the max the past few weeks!
I’m on a tight turnaround and would like to request your insight on the quality/value of this diamond for ~$9k- much appreciated in advance.

The feather is through the girdle. While it’s probably OK from a durability perspective (since it’s SI1), I usually prefer recommending that kind of inclusion for earrings or pendants where the diamond won’t be subject to daily wear like a ring. Otherwise, this diamond looks nice.
I think the diamond below would have a better inclusion profile for a ring, goes up in color to G, and saves a little compared to the 1.50 H SI1.

The only downside is that it ships later. The G ships on July 13 while the H ships on June 29 (since you’re on a tight turnaround).
I see – but the cut on the H is a bit better than the G, correct? if so, how noticeable would you think?
is the feather on the H worrisome enough to avoid it?
And would you say any of these blue nile options compare favorably?
Technically the cut is better, but I don’t think it’d be noticeable. The G has a 36 crown angle/40.8 pavilion angle combination, which tends to have good optical symmetry. See my computer vision methods https://www.diamondscreener.com/education/evaluating-round-diamond-cut-quality-using-computer-vision/
I would prefer the G, since you avoid the feather and go up a color grade for less money.
As for the BN diamonds, I don’t think those are better options.
LD13646272 has a much higher 41.6 pavilion angle. The arrows definitely fade out. If you’re concerned about differences in cut, this will definitely be noticeable.
LD13895982 is the same 36/40.8 combo as the G, but it’s two color grades lower at I (which doesn’t fit your criteria) and isn’t that much cheaper. I also see some strain lines, which I try to avoid.
LD13133096 has strong blue fluorescence, so it’s likely been overgraded for color (i.e. a low H).
LD13470402 will have reduced transparency because it’s SI1 with “Clarity is based on clouds that are not shown.” Skip those types of SI1’s. Also the arrows have started to fade out with that proportion combination.
You’re so helpful. I’m getting closer…
What do you think of this as compared with the two James Allen options (H and G) we’ve been discussing?

And if you know of any comparable high-quality 1.5 ct with similar specs (Excellent Cut, Color: G or H, Clarity = SI1 or VS2) in the $8.5k-$9k range that would be much appreciated as well!
