The stats: Table: 57.5%, Crown angle: 35.9%, Pavilion angle: 40.7%
I ran the numbers as 58, 36 and 40.7 and the green dot ended up landing right at the very edge on the line. What does this mean? Is this diamond borderline GIA excellent and AGS ideal?

You can treat anywhere within the same category as equivalent in terms of the cut grade. At that point you will want to look at each diamond individually to make sure it shows nice optical symmetry, as ideal proportions don’t necessarily also imply showing the arrows well.
Is it better or does it matter if it’s at the edge or somewhere more central?
