I wanted to get some advice on picking a round diamond. I am looking in the 9-11k price range, and would like to get something around 1.33 ct or above. Color desire would be G or greater, with excellent cut, and VS2 clarity or better.
What other advanced criteria should I be examining to get the best quality diamond at the lowest price? Diameter? etc? Could you maybe provide a few examples of what to look for?

Hi KC,
I normally suggest going with lower clarity to save money, but I didn’t see any SI1/SI2 diamonds I liked that fit your criteria at the lower end of your budget. I wouldn’t worry about diameter too much as long as you’re getting optimal proportions, like the options below. You could also consider H color if you’d like to go up in size.
