Thanks for all the work you’ve done with this website – it has been very useful during my search for the best valued diamond. Based on what I’ve read here I’m a little concerned about the florescence of the one on James Allen. I want to have the diamond set in Platinum so I was looking for high color grades (F-D) and would like to keep a budget under 17500. Any advice you have is much appreciated.

Hi Rob,
Faint fluorescence is perfectly fine. I’d get the 1.50 D VVS2 and save money compared to the 1.50 D VS2.
You could also save some money with lower clarity like the option below. The crystals are white and less than the width of a human hair.
